My washer will not take in water. The knob will turn to rinse and spin and it works but if I try to start a load, the knob pulls out but nothing happens. Could the knob be bad even if it does everything else?

try checking the fuse hidden behind the control panel on the top of the machine. Undo the screws at the top to open. This worked for me on our 15 yr old machine

More likely to be the water inlet valve is faulty. First turn taps off & remove hoses. Check filters in hose & inlet valves for blockage. Put hoses back & turn both on. Try filling machine. If cold does not work then try hot water. If that works then the cold valve solenoid is faulty. If both hot & cold do not work then the problem will be either the timer, lid switch or wiring.
