You'll need a key with MA stamped on it to initialize the register.
1) Insert the MA key and turn to the SP position.
2) Enter 9906 and press the X2 key.
3) Enter 1 for std config., 2 for Germany, 3 for France, 4 for Spain, 5 for UK or 6 for USA.
4) Press the . key
This will initialize the register with settings appropriate for the country you selected in step 3. Then you'll need to completely reprogram the register.
