I need to fix a distorted tv picture on my Sony Trinitron?

My Sony Trinitron picture is distorted. We have checked the cable and it is fine. We have looked at the settings and everything seems in order. Any ideas?

push the reset button on remote and power tv off the tv will turn back on by itself,hopefully this should work
