My remote control options quit working some time ago. I bought another used remote control and that did not solve anything. Is it possible that the remote control part of the tv itself has gone out? I don't mind changing channels manually, but I can't watch dvds because I have to change the tv to auxilary by remote, unless there is a manual way to do this. I have contacted Philips and they can't find any info on this model.

i hate this tv. i programmed a universal remote to it - it worked for 1 day and quit. cant be reprogrammed. i bought the OEM remote. worked for one day, and quit. it's infuriating.
