I have a sylvania SMPK8854B 4GB MP3 player it seems to be frozen on the first screen. I have tried to double click each icon but nothing happens. I have tried to charge it. Is it broken? I need help?

There is a reset button located on the top edge of the player, next to the head phone jack. Use a paper clip and gently press and hold the reset button for a short amount of time (1-100, 2-100.....5-100) and release. It resets the unit. It should not delete any songs on the unit, but will reset all the defaults you may of set using the setting icon from the main screen window.
