power switch on Philips PET712/05 not engaging/broken. ?

Philips PET712/05 power slider broken or not engaging. How do you get into the player to fix/diagnose the problem. It appears to be a sealed unit.

Thank you so much my one had same problem I followed your advice and it's now working perfectly.

look underthe rubber grips at the bottom to find 4 black screws. remove these and you will see that on/off switch is broken where it meets the mother board.

simply switch permananetly onto ON and put back together. works a dream.
