Beko 8227 washing machine wont drain water, any ideas?

Hi all. Recieved my beko wme 8227 washing machine this morning. I removed the 5 bolts from the rear, connected the cold water pipe, connected the drainage hose to the sink drainage which i had my previous machine connected to. Switched water on and then powered the machine up and set it to the quick wash setting. Once it filled with water, i cancelled the wash as per instructions and holding the button for 3 seconds, the machine paused and now fails to respond to any commands, even the ' 10 second holding start button' to cancel and drain.

Argos are going to arrange a replacement whilst this washer sits in my kitchen full of water. Am i missing something in order to drain the water? This washer had a load of good reviews and i had some vouchers to get a discount to..but not sure what to do now.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Asif

I know this is a bit late but, I had the EXACT thing happen to me. The problem was that there was ICE inside the washing machine due to the severe cold weather (the warehouse where Argos stores them is not heated). Anyway I just left the machine for a few hours in my warm kitchen then tried the steps above. It drained a bit, then the pump kicked in after the ice blockage was broken up. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problems!

remove the drain hose and hold it over a bucket.turn machine on .press and hold the start button and see if it drains water in to bucket and resets.IF IT DOES YOUR SINK DRAIN IS BLOCKED.remove blockage/blanking cap end and reconnect pipe under sink.
