I have a smeg DW1612C dishwasher and we`ve just realized that it`s been going for 4 hours. Doesn`t matter what progamme is selected it just keeps on washing. No weird noises , and when I open the door, no error light flashing, just the programme light that I selected, I`ve tried a factory reset, to no avail. Any ideas?

Did anyone find a solution to this problem? After 15 mins into any cycle my machine stops beeps twice & starts again for 80 seconds, then stops beeps twice & starts again for 80 seconds. It just carries on for hours. If you open the door the only light lit is the one for the programe which I selected. I have tried a reset & no obvious error codes.

i have exactly the same the machine pauses every so often and then resumes with 2 beeps.. and runs for eternity!

What a coincidence. I have exactly the same problem with the same model. Ours is nearly 6 years old. I have not been able to find this fault on a number of other forums.
The last few washes seem to have been getting longer and we stopped the last wash at 5 hours.
I have cleaned out filters and washer arms.
Just about to check out the waste drain and try a reset. Will let you know if it sorts it.
