how can i fix my boiler error code EA?

how can i fix my boiler error code EA
Mrs Billings, January 2010
I got error code EA this afternoon, tried reseting to no avail, couldn't get intouch with engineer/plumber so checked the condense drain (plastic pipe that comes out of the bottom of the boiler, runs down wall and into drain) as Bunslinger suggested and it was frozen, I turned off the boiler disconnected a section of plastic pipe and poured boiling water down until all the ice had gone and water was flowing normally, turned boiler back on and it's now working perfectly. Have just now spoken to my plumber who said I did the right thing and he has been out to 7 EA errors so far today, he said we may need to do it again if it stays cold, or if it becomes a problem disconnect the pipe inside the house and put a bucket under for it to drain intil until the cold weather has gone.

which model u have?

cut and paste below address -

this is a manual for engineers - this will give a list of things relating to fault codes - eg EA -

its quite a good read if i say so myself, obviously use at your own risk - best put in the hands of your servicing engineer if u have any doubts/concerns

Make sure the condense drain is not frozen - have a look at worcester's website www.worcester-bosch.co.uk for common winter boiler enquiries.
