On volkswagen cars, you need to swop the yellow and red wires on the rear connector block. most stereos have simple bullet connectors to allow you to do this with ease. Also you will need to buy a extra part to power the antenna signal booster, this connects to the blue power wire.(www.connects2.com will have this for around £9.00) I had this problem on my octavia and doing the above cured this. hope you find this useful.
