Worcester Condensing Boiler - if its not firing during this freeze ?

Not a question - just a bit of advice - if its not firing up check that the condensate pipe not frozen up if its mounted on the outside of household or area subject to v low temp - look for plastic pipe exiting and discharging to gulley / - i borrowed a hairdryer to get things going / hit the pipe a 100 times to break ice within pipe -I then decided to remove as pipe v long and almost horizontal - in the manual it will advise hot water / wrap around pipe - therefore choose ur own method for thawing out / i put hot water tap on to get burner firing up and when u start to see a trickle u know ur getting on the way/ - i couldnt get the ch working but working on it as diff prob

my outlet pipe also freezing up. took lagging off and used boiling water from kettle, then re lagged with new. was getting ch but when you want hw you get it and then the ch goes off?? repair man said it was common problem. thinking about putting on a larger bore outlet pipe during this cold spell if it continues.
