Stihl MS180 chainsaw running problems?

My Stihl MS180 chainsaw starts ok and runs fine under no work but after you have finished a cut through a log and the saw is idling it dies and is really hard to start again. Spark plug is new and diaphram is new and the petrol mix is correct so unsure what is causing it.

Sounds like the saw is loading up. What I mean by that is when it comes down off of a fast run the carburetor and/or cylinder is loading up with too much air/fuel mixture. Either too rich in fuel (most likely) or too lean in fuel. If it is hard starting I would have to say too rich. You need to check your carb adjustment. E-mail me and let me help you easier rather than on the post. luggnutt78 at yahoo.com. Replace the at with the symbol.

Saw chain can be purchased from any good chainsaw shop, all they need is the pitch, the gauge and the drive link count, most electric saws run a 3/8 low profile chain 050 gauge, the drive link count will give you the lenght, i have never heard of this model so can only guide you to re fitting a chain. Remove the nut/nuts holding the side cover ( if the chain brake is in the cover make sure it is off before removing )back off the chain adjuster and lift the chain off the bar, once off the bar there will be more than enough slack to take the chain from around the sprocket, assemble the new chain in reverse order, take care to align the adjuster pawl into the guide bar hole, the chain should pull freely around the bar ( with a gloved hand ) but not sag on the bottom rail of the bar.
