How to lite a Kohlangaz Fire?

Recently I have moved into a house with a Kohlangaz Fire model KTN16 & have no instructions.

The switch presently is set at 9O'Clock.

When I turn the switch anti-clockwise to indicator with large flame(Five O'Clock position), do I press & hold the switch inwards to it should ignite & after ignition turn to smaller flame position(2O'Clock).

When I do that I can hear gas but no ignition.

Please advise, if a problem please advise nearest engineer to ME2 2TH

We have the same model. Press in the switch and turn anti-clockwise to 5 o'clock. Light the pilot light with a match, wait about 15-20 seconds, then release the switch. If it goes out, try the above again. If not, it's lit!

To reduce the amount of heat produced, turn the switch further once the fire is lit.
