Warm wet air coming into contact with cold walls and windows results in condensation.
Utility rooms often have steam from laundry or perhaps steam from a kitchen if the door is left open which will also result in condensation.
If the walls and windows are allowed to cool down too much during the night then the problem may well be worse when the warm air arrives.
Ventilation helps and so might a dehumidifier.
