How do I replace the timer on a kenmore series 80 washer. I am unable to wash clothes because the button will not advance to the next stage.

Hello,

For most Whirlpool made washers you have to remove the plastic moldings at each end of the console if you have them. If not, just remove the console screws and flip it up. You can access the timer here. Make sure you change one wire at a time or make yourself a diagram of the wiring. To remove the timer you have to turn the knob counter-clockwise and then remove the screws behind the dial. Hope this helps.
