IAN THANK YOU SO MUCH MY HEATING AS JUST COME BACK ON I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR 11 HOURS THANK YOU SO MUCH. I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE PIPE FROM THE CONNECTION OUTSIDE WITHOUT CUTTING IT SHALL I JUST LEAVE IT LIKE THAT TILL THE WEATHER WARMS UP. I REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER.I WOULD OF PROBABLY BEEN CHARGED AN ARM AND A LEG IF I HAD CALLED SOMEONE OUT THANKS.

yes just leave it like that in the mean time, it can still freeze though so you'll need to keep an eye on it. look into getting some insulation, you can buy it in diy places or a plumbers merchant, it'll be 22mm / 3/4" insulation you're looking for. the insulation doesn't work in really extreme cold, but it's good most of the time, and it's cheap.
