My velux window in the loft was difficult to open and I pulled hard on the latch, the window opened but the latch has moved down to a position and wont move up to lock the window in closed position.I have oiled but does not move the latch.

Hi, sorry I don't have an answer for you - but the same has just happened to me - couldn't close velux after opening it. I've had the latch mechanism apart - the lock plates move manually in their slots but can't be pulled upward with the lever to lock the window. If you have found a solution could you post it please, thanks.
