We have a Zanussi ZDF 221 dishwasher and recently it has started not washing properly. This seems partly due to the tablet holder not opening and so just drops out at the end unused. Tried leaving the tablet holder completely free of anything that can block it. Always used Finish tablets so not used salt do we need to add salt?

put the tablet on the base filter and see how the wash results are.best results are from using a basic wash tablet,salt and seperate rinse aid.Is the water heating up?.is the spray arm holes (bits that spin round in dishwasher) clear.if they are blocked with gunk it will cause poor wash issues.
