how can i fix LAN adapter?

my windows XP got corrupted (Advent netbook 4211-B), couldnt load from backup recovery, so i loaded vista but now LAN adapter is not working, any solution ?

I have tried this but the driver is not compatible with windows vista, although they said it is for vista but it doesnt work

You need to download the correct drivers for the LAN adapter from the laptop manufacturer's web site.
