How can I stop my Brother KH950i jamming?

My Brother KH950i keeps jamming when using the connecting arm assembly which attatches it to the ribber. If I take the connecting arm assembly part off its fine so its nothing to do with the main KH carriage. The ribber carriage seems fine too. It jams as soon as the first needle goes in to it. The needles are not bent or damaged and it does it wherever you are on the needle bed.

Amanda, I'm not sure if your problem is the same as mine, but it sounds like it. I 'cured' mine by finding two very thin washers and putting them round the shanks of the knobs that hold the connecting arm in place. Then put the arm *above* the washers when you connect it to the main carriage, and screw down the plastic knobs. This lifts the assembly just slightly off the needles, and they no longer catch. It doesn't seem to affect the knitting at all.

Hi Amanda,
Have you checked the sponge bar on the main bed?
If it is not pressing the needles down enough they will jam when using the ribber even if they knit all right using the single bed.
The foam needs to be about 1/4 inch thick above the metal.
Hope this helps.
