Whirlpool AWO 3551- Water tap closed light?

my machine is not completeing a full cycle and has flooded once. I have looked at the filter but is clear. Now the cycle is stopping and the 'water tap closed' light is on as well as others.
how to i resolve this - have lost the manual.

Have the same problem, another thread here says to check the waste pipe isn't too far down in the outlet pipe.

Haven't tried it yet, but thread says results good.
