Noisy water pipes?

Hi, ever since changing the bathroom suite the water pipes in my house make a loud banging noise when the taps are switched off (unless done very gently). I've asked a couple of plumbers and they cant fix it .. any ideas?
Thanks, Jo

Find the house stop tap - often under the kitchen sink - turn it off and open the cold water tap on the sink - progressively open the house stop tap until the flow into the sink is just satisfactory. Turn off the sink tap. See if anything has changed.

This may not solve your banging pipes problem - but it may - and it's a quick, easy and free solution if it does work.

Good luck...

try see if there are clips holding the pipes along their run , wall/ floor/ try putting some more holding clips along the pipe run, if you can ,, it might stop this vibrations kick back , when you turn the taps off fast, im not saying it will fix your problem , but worth trying. you should be able to get the clips at a good hardware store,
