Bosch KGV2604 Repair - further questions?

Sandy Small's fix (Oct 2005) got my Bosch KGV2604 fridge/freezer running again but of course with the main compartment sensor now shorted out. I wonder what is involved in replacing the faulty temperature sensor? i.e. availability, cost and difficulty? Is anybody able to comment on this? Does anybody have access to the circuit diagram for the controller board?

Also the NTC1 thermistor(?) at one end of the control board has broken (coloured: yellow, violet, orange). I have temporarily replaced this with a 47K resistor (same colour code!). Anybody have any information on this part?

Thanks for any information.

Sorry Alan, I know it's a bit late after your post, but did you find a source / instructions as to the replacement of the thermister? Mine has exactly the same problem. I've done the patch wire fix to by-pass the thermister and the freezer compartment works fine but the fridge compartment ices up after a few days...manageable but inconvenient. Any help with part numbers or source would be great. Many thanks.
