i have got a thomson freeview recorder this christmas from my mum and dad. I have tried scaning for channels and it only comes up with about 20. The channels it does pick up are very jumpy. I live in lancaster, yet it picks up BBC Wales! I live in student accomidation so there is no main aerial. Any ideas?

you seem to be a bit stuck, untill you get a aerial into the back of it , have you tryed a good indoor one, or take the box to a friends home home that has one , and try top up " your films for play back after, , on its 160 gb drive ,
