There is no cheap or 100% fix on problems like this.I would buy a good laundry bag and put clothes in it to wash them.This will protect clothing and is reasonably cheap.I've changed whole inner drums and people still ring up and show holed clothing.This can in extreme cases be all down to wash powder eating through fabric!
