Robert-I have the same thing going on. If you get an answer please let me know.
I don't know how new yours is...mine is several years old but when I first got it, the same thing happened. I called them and they acted like I was CRAZY!
One thing I noticed is at the back of the shelves on mine there is a space between the back of the shelf and the wall. If things fell and wedged in there or fell against the back I'm thinking it restricted the air flow. When I was more careful to keep that from happening, I didn't have much of an issue after that. Today though it is freezing up again...like the apple sauce container froze, expanded and "blew"up. My soda was also nearly exploded.
The one thing I did today (1/23/2010) was to clean out the dust that had collected in the coils at the bottom. This included taking off the cover in the back, (unplugging the fridge while I did it) and vaccum it out the best I could. I happened to have this skinny piece of plastic that is used for unclogging drains that I could put into the tight spaces. It pulled out TONS of dust wads.
Let me know if you get any other ideas.
