No cold water entering machine?

GW52-F Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine Cold water valve does not seem to be letting any water into the washing machine, so it does not spray rinse or deep rinse anymore. Swapped the cold tap to the hot water valve and can wash clothes now on hot wash (with cold water running through hose instead of hot) but still cannot spray or deep rinse. Machine gets stuck when it reaches the deep rinse cycle, and we have to manually advance it to spin to get it to continue.

Lincoln Appliance I respectfully disagree. It will work if the wire on the cold inlet water switch is swapped with the wire on the hot inlet water switch, like the hoses were. The hot and cold inlet water switches do not know hot water from cold water. The switch only knows to open when it gets power and close when it doesn't. Maryanne, the washer will work on a cold/cold wash ONLY if the cold inlet water switch wire is swapped with the hot inlet water switch like the hoses were, but it will not have an hot water wash until the inlet hose screen are unclogged (if that's it's problem) or the inlet water switch is replaced if it's faulty.

Swapping the hoses will not work. Even if you select hot wash the rinse is always done with cold water. So when it gets to the rinse position it will be waiting for the water to come in from the cold valve. The only way to fix it is to put the hoses back where they belong & change the cold water inlet valve for a new one.
