the best way to remove any program like windows 98 is to do a full format, by putting the xp disc into the drive and the follow the instructions on screen.

windows 98 is a fallback if u ever have problems with xp so if u need to reinstall xp it will start at widows 98 with most of the information off your xp edition it will only go to 98 if u uninstall xp
