how do i stop internet going to work offline?

when i click on internet icon on my desktop,myinternet keeps going onto work offline.

Firefox (Dont know about Internet Explorer) only goes to work offline by itself if there is no internet connection present. To make it come off work offline goto file and press on Work offline.
