My diswasher wont heat the water i've replaced the heater and it has power going through it but still no hot water can anybody help before i take a hammer to it?

Dishwasher now fixed many thanks to CK ,saved me a fortune ,it was a blown track as he said.

does the heater have power going through it? or are you talking about power going through appliance in general.if the heater is ok around 29 ohms then you need to remove the electronic control pcb in the fascia panel and split the plastic casing open.inside there you will probably find a burn track/relay contact.resolder relay contact and make good and it will heat again
