How do I get my Gateway 7422GX laptop to boot?

I replaced the LCD on the laptop and the laptop won't bootup now. It had a display on an external monitor before I did this. What did I do wrong?

Are you sure it isn't booting? could it be that the laptop is still looking for the external screen? If you have a working LCD try attaching the external monitor to your laptop again and change the settings on your graphics card to look at the LCD screen instead.
