dremel 300 drill is overheating and does not turn, any ideas on how to repair it

Chuck it in the bin and buy a new one or change the brushes which is simple to do or it could be the switch contacts that need cleaning.

sounds like brushes need replacing, call dremel , they'll sell you some.
