how can I fix my sansui cassette player/recorder?

The model is Sansui D-90 No.689120609, which when I press the tabs to record/play fast forward etc ,they
immediately pop back up and will not stay down.The
model is in excellent condition ,and I would hate to throw it away.Please help

no longer a problem,it was the belts which had to be replaced

It is no longer a problem ,as I have now had the cassette player repaired. The fault was the belts
had to be renewed.
