My Zanussi IZ16 has stopped mid cycle?

Hi My Zanussi IZ16 has stopped during the cycle and I cannot retrieve the washing from it. There was a scraping noise and now the error light flashes no matter what I try to press.

drain the water out throught the filter at the bottom and hopefully door will open
