I realise that this is a bit late, but ...
1) to remove the PCB board on the front door, there is a small slot on the underside of the panel on the side nearest the hinges. Put a piece of card against the fridge to protect the paint and put a screw driver in and twist it. The panel will pop out.
2) The fridge will work (usually) in a default mode without the panel. There is a connector on the upper hinge. Disconnect it and the fridge should just start working without the panel.
