Water will not enter diplomat HJA8630 dishwasher?

The machine appears to start ok, ie the machine makes the right sort of noises, but no water enters. (there is no kink in the pipe). the salt light is on but there is plenty of salt in the machine !.
To investigate I lowered the front legs in order to pull the machine out. In doing this water trickled out the very bottom of the machine by the front legs. once the water stopped trickling out (two cup fulls), i raised the legs and it started working briefly ie water entered the machine again. My question is, is there an overflow tray that is filling up stopping the machine working and lowering the legs in effect tipped this water out ? if so what type of thing would cause the tray to fill up and how do I get to this tray to empty it/fix the problem, ie do i remove the plate at the front of the machine which is held on by four security type allen screws ? or is there a bigger problem with the machine ?

A big Thank you to all you guys for the solutions posted on this particular issue. Just solved the same type of leak from my dishwasher.

It saved me £££ calling out an engineer.

Thanks again..

Thanks for this great advice!! The exact same thing happened to me and today I fixed the issue. Although I could not find the leak so have left the cover off to keep an eye on it.
Thanks guys

Mike, you are a legend. Had the exact same head scratching problem myself this eve, the machine made he right sounds,as if filling, but never filled. I was about to launch into the laborious task of a warranty repair, which would have no doubt taken numerous calls and engineer visits and somehow I am sure they would have extracted money from me!! then I read your answer and even though it was 11pm, the instructions were clear enough for one last ditch attempt at a self repair, as soon as the panel was removed and I saw the water my heart raced!! i sponged the water up, with the power off obviously! Tightened the salt bottle using similar method, started the machine and hey presto, filled and returned to normal. I'll keep the panel off to ensure the leak has been dealt with and to aid drying the bottom of the machine but it works and I don't have to wash up or call a help desk and wait for Lord Lucan to turn up. So a huge thanks for your investigative skills and your post on this site. Regards, Andy.

Seems I may have fixed it myself.
Took off small full width panel (four * security type allen screws) at front of machine under the door. (turning power off first). Found that bottom of machine was full of water, lowered front legs of machine so that water came forward and sponged out water with a cloth. raised legs and turned power back on, hey presto it worked, the machine started taking in water again. i guess there must be some sort of water spillage sensor !!!! which stopped it in the first place ??
I then checked where the water in the bottom of the machine was coming from with a torch and found that water was leaking around the seal of the salt bottle. The salt bottle is held on by a very large plastic nut surrounding the lid where you put the salt in, and it had become slightly loose. There is also no rubber washer under it, so I guess there must be one on the underside and this nut is meant to clamp it water tight, anyway hand tightening didn't cure the leak fully and I didn't have a spanner that big (four inch approx) so I used a screw driver and a plastic mallet to tap it round gently but securley. turned off machine, wiped out water again from bottom of machine and turned back on to check for leaking water.
No leak, and one working machine, great.
