Broken plug on Kenmore Upright?

Can anyone help??? One of the prongs from the plug has snapped off on my kenmore upright vacuum. Is there an easy way to fix this? can I solder the broken part back on? is there a way to replace the plug??? or is it best to just take it to a repair shop?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just cut the old one off and replace with new one. I've assumed this was a moulded type!
Do not solder back on, the price of a new plug, its just not worth it!!
