Bosch dishwasher fault, tripping fuse box, model no: srs56l02gb ?

Please see my previous question titled: Bosch dishwasher fault, model no: srs56l02gb

I had forgot to mention that I had noticed an electrical burning smell on some occasions when it had tripped the fuse box.

Hi Angie

Thank you for your message on my query about Hotpoint Aquarius SDW60.

I was interested whether your circuit fuse was blowing or whether the earth leakage trip was being activated. If your circuit fuse is blowing, why is the fuse in the plug fuse not blowing first as it should be rated lower.

I will certainly try what Peccavi suggests - I also suspect that the heater element is the problem as there is splashing if I put it on pre-wash which suggests that the motor (assuming that there is only one motor) is working.

The first thing is that the water is let in - then it's sloshed around cold then it's heated up and sloshed some more and then the detergent flap is opened. Depending on When in the machine's cycle the Trip happens - you can possibly diagnose the likely fault.

Given what you say it's very probably the heating element - but I just guess.

Your first choice is to repair or replace.
If repair - yourself or an engineer
If replace - where from & how much

Good luck...
