Think Virus Control Centre taken over my laptop?

I recieved a facebook message which i opened from a friend n clicked on an attatchment which give me a virus that kept saying i was infected, i didn't know if it was my antivirus or somthing else telling me so followed instruction(don't really remember what i did, but wish i hadn't). Anyway it shut down my laptop and now when i turn it on and login on my user all i get is a black screen with a Control Centre page telling me i need to pay money to update things i know i already had. I found information on net about control centre , trojan virus thingy removal programmes but can't get it on my laptop. Help please!! x If it's a matter of sending it away to get fixed, any recommendation??

Ouch sounds serious the first step i would try is to when you switch the pc on press f8 to and select safemode and see if that lets you in then scan your pc with watever antivirus you have for now which it should kill the virus if you do have a decent antivirus. i would recomend avg or avast. the second thing you can do if you can get into the pc using safe mode is if you have a 2nd pc or a friend who has one get them to put this http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
onto a pen drive and install and run this on your laptop if all this fails. you can do a recovery of damage files in dos but you really need to kill the virus first and if all that fails looks like you might have to do a reinstall or see a profesional who can remove the virus for you.
