this hotpoint model is approx 2 years old. ice maker gives option of lumps of ice or crushed ice. now it only gives us crushed ice which is a real pain as this melts with any drink really fast. i assume i probably need a new electric circuit board and this looks simple enough to fit, but i dont want to buy one in case i am wrong. warranty is 5 yrs on parts , but what good is that when all they want to do is sign you up on a maintenance contract whereby parts are all free. where is the logic in that.
