my son dropped his play staion 2 console and now it says disc read error whenever a ps2 game or dvd is inserted. it will play ps1 games though? what can i do?
You need a new lens in it ps1 games can be read easier than ps2 games because of the disc they are on it should play audio cds as well.

the drop did not break it every ps2 model that ur son has wares down after a while an burns out it's inevitable thats why he can play ps1 games and not 2 or dvds because if you look at the games under the ps2 logo it says dvd so dont blame ur son just trade the broke one in for 50$ and chip in 50$ for a refurbished one
