it work fine on my 02 shogun, but make sure the ignition key is in ON position before doing it,otherwise it won't work.

Works on my 01 plate shogun with a slight variation, ignition on, press and hold both buttons until light stops flashing, press big button once, ignition off and it works perfectly.

Tried both ways with my zapper and when I press both the buttons the red light doesn't flash it is instantly solid? Any ideas?

Outside the car, near the drivers door hold both buttons together for ten seconds until the LED light stays on, then hold the bigger button for one second and that should be it

Just done the same. Turned on ignition, pressed both buttons for about 8 seconds untill red flashing light stayed on then removed key, waited 6 seconds and tried. Ideal all working.

Just done the same on my 56 plate Shogun.
Put key in ingnition
Turn on and I pressed both buttons until red flashing lights stays on permenantly.
Turn of ignition and leave for 6 seconds.
Then remove and try!! Worked for me
