1999 V-reg CLio - Hazard warning lights problem?

I recently inherited a 1999 V-reg Clio. All works fine apart from an intermittent fault with the Hazard warning lights. Whilst driving, the central locking activates itself and the Hazard lights come on. Turning them off using the switch doesn't work. The only way to stop them is to turn the engine off and on again.
Any idea how I can stop this? Is there some Hazard warning lights fuse I can remove?
I've read lots about faulty Hazard warning lights switches but the switch works fine. Think it might be connected to the central locking coming on but don't really know much about how it all works....
any help appreciated

ive had a similar problem. 1998 clio rxe, immobiliser beeps every 15 seconds like the alarm is going off, but can still start the car, if i dont open with the key, then the hazard lights go off. sounds like a faulty alarm/immobiliser problem to me?
