the rinse cycle does not spin anymore how do i fix it?

i have a kenmore 80series washing machine, the rinse cycle does not spin anymore what can i do to fix the problem, if i can i'd like to try to repair it myself before hiring and someone and having to spend a fortune. please help... laundry is piling up

Hello,

If your washer goes dead when it is supposed to drain and spin your lid switch is probably faulty. This is common repair if this is your problem.
