when i try and sign in msn, troubleshoot comes up and says, msn messenger has made several failed attempts to sign you in. your firewall may be blockin messenger from connecting to the service. pleace reveiw your settings. i pressed repair but nothin happens so how do i get my firewall to stop blockin me.
thanks! its the date. go on control panel, then time and date, then set to correct date and time. then it will work!

i have exactly the same problem, i have uninstalled and installed again and switched my firewall of but it still says the same thing

Difficult to say without knowing your firewall, however most firewalls generate a log of what failed, you should look at this find out what part of MSN is being blocked, and add a rule for it.

A long shot, but have you got the right system date on your PC? If your date is incorrect MSN won't sign in...

Is it a hardware firewall (ie built into an adsl router) or is it a software firewall? In each case which version of either hardware or software are you using as it will vary depending on this.
