When driving my radio randomly beeps then the display flashes and it turns off. Also when i turn the engine off the radio stays on i dont know if on some cars the radio does stay on but on my previous clio im sure the radio used to turn off when i turned the engine off and took the keys out. Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem with my Clio. We've had the car for years and the stereo has always turned off/on with the ignition. Until last week! Now it operates manually only. I haven;t noticed it timing out but then I haven't driven any great distance so probably wouldn't have noticed if it was going to do it.
Presumably as nothing has changed suddenly it's unlikely to be a wiring issue?

I took it to the garage today and they said they think they hav fixed it. It didnt turn off on the way home but still doesnt turn on and off with the ignition. My dad used to be a machanic so i'll ask him about those wires and see if that helps.

beeping i dont know, but maybe your permanent live and your switched live are the wrong way round, or joined together even. It's not a bad thing, but it would explain the stereo not going off with key.
Or perhaps it is related. If there is no switched live there at all, it could be that when you are turning it on manually, the stereo will be on a timer, and maybe beeping before it goes off. If you are having to turn it on and off manually, try timing the interval between on, and the auto turn off.
