how can I fix my Bernina 807 sewing machine?

when winding the thread on bobbin the winder spindle makes a very loud clanking noise and then stops winding.

Hello Susan,
The spindle may be on the point of seizing, you may need to put a couple of drops of oil in the spindle and let it run down but not too much.
