My Nintendo DS Lite won't power on?

I dropped my Nintendo DS Lite. Since then, I have not been able to power it on. When you shake the component, you can hear something loose inside. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Take a circtwriter (Found at radioshack) and reconnect fuses F1 or F2

had same fault there, l2 had came broke off, managed to solder back on though very tricky

if you hear a rattle and wont power on, is not the the fuses (f1/f2) but the l2 component that broke off the main board inside (near power switch) still looking for cheap part to replace it myself, it does work when holding two pieces together (broken component against the slot it broke off from) but does not look like it is something that could be soldered back on....

did read to try simaliar part from old pc hard drive, but I am afraid of burning out rest of board myself if not the right part...

sorry not much help how to fix it, but will BET that is what is wrong with it!!!

let me know if you find out where to get replacement component or good solution... ( heard of using circuit writer pen) for blown fuses, but not sure if will work here too...

Mine stopped working but it looks like the power switch has gone. £2.50 with screw driver on ebay

Chances are pretty good that you have a fuse problem! These fuses f1 and f2 provide overload protection for the mother board.

The rattle will be components fallen of the board.
Assuming no damage to the hinge or in ternal screens the cost should be approx £20 to repair the board. Damaged screens would add to the cost.
Check with local repairer.
