water is flowing out of the overflow pipe outside. can i fix this problem my self?

Hi Rachael,

The info supplied is a bit short. If it's constant cold water, the inlet valve has been turned on. The (probably) flexible inlet should have been disconnected and capped. Turn off the valve like you would a washing machine valve. It's probably near the boiler, with a braided steel flex connected.
