can i use receiver as playback source can i load movies in hard disk of receiver pace bskyb 3100, in my location there is no service or card available to use it as dish receiver and it is not free to air.i laoded mpeg2 thru ide cable in fat file system but it did not detected them;play back not worked

I have read your question several times to try to make head or tail of it. (Punctuation would help people to understand it better.)

However, if you are asking whether you can use a Sky+ box for ANYTHING else other than as a Sky+ PVR, the answer is no. Additionally, it has to be connected to a dish and you have to have a Sky+ subscription for it to function as a PVR.
